about

I’m a multilingual (English, Dutch & Spanish) writer and translator living and working in Amsterdam.
I’ve lived my 90s rom-com dream job at a magazine and I’ve lived my Girls truth as an unemployed writer trying to convince my parents that my struggle is just an investment in my lore.

I could lie and summarise all my writing themes into a couple of big words or I can lean on the power of audience interaction and challenge you to try and find the common thread between the following: contemporary art, yearning for the simple country life, karaoke as public masturbation, geometry in modern design, finding the word for growing up fruity, mothers and daughters maturing across cultural lines, and eel economics.

Currently, along with some friends, I am in the process of launching an independent print magazine Spit Take to fill the gap in the market for tween magazines for queer adults who never got to resonate with a flow-chart what-type-of-XX-are-you? quiz

My work as a copywriter has allowed me to serve a variety of clients across commercial and social. Most recently, campaigns for The Queer Agenda and SOA-AIDS Nederland have reignited a desire to bring my queerness into my practice.
